What this is
Underheard is an experimental music discovery service. It recommends artists and links out to other services where you can listen to them. It is provided free, as-is, and may change or stop at any time.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher. Don't use the service if you can't agree to these terms.
We don't host or stream music
Underheard doesn't host, stream, or sell any recordings. Artwork, previews, and links come from third-party services, and playing anything happens on their platforms under their terms. See attributions.
Your account
You don't need one. If you add an email to keep your saved artists, keep access to that inbox secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us if you think someone else has access.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape it, hammer it with automated requests, attempt to break or bypass its limits, resell it, or use it to harass anyone. We may rate-limit or block use that threatens the service or the third-party APIs it depends on.
Recommendations are opinions, not endorsements
Recommendations are generated automatically from public data. Appearing in Underheard doesn't mean an artist endorses it, and information about artists may be incomplete or wrong. If you're an artist and want to be removed, contact us and we'll do it.
Content and takedowns
We display limited metadata and images supplied by third-party APIs. If you hold rights in something shown here and want it removed, contact us with what it is and where, and we'll remove it promptly.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided “as is” with no warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page. You can stop using the service at any time, and ask us to delete your data — see privacy.
